The United Federation of Watersheds (UFW)
The UFW’s mandate is to protect a WMU’s (Watershed Management Unit) human 20% and Nature’s 80% from the expansionist form of humans such as may exist or rearise, i.e. protect renormalizing humans from the modern form of human until the modern form goes extinct (outside of three potential enclaves) or rearises.
The UFW is information based, not energy or matter based. Information of an attack is used to direct WMUs, initially near the attack, to mount a matter-energy immune system response (i.e. using force as needed). No humans live in the UFW — it is not a place, but some temporarily serve as part of the information system and systemic management of humans by setting limits on human demands on Gaian resources to avoid overshoot as informed by the Gaian system (who has all the answers about what works to persist long term and about whether you have exceeded long term carrying capacity).
Secondarily, the Federation manages interwatershed trade to prevent unsustainable exporting of resources, e.g. more wood, fiber, peat, or food from the human’s 20% than regrows/reforms. No WMU would want to unsustainably export resources (being K-culture), but may lack information about limits (the UFW provides needed expertise).There will be no global food distribution system in a low energy future nor industrial inputs into the local food production agroecosystem.
The MHEM (Modern Human Extinction Movement) will help members, as moderns endeavoring to renormalize, to auto-organize to form WMUs. Multiple WMUs in the same area can help protect one another from modern (and proud of it) humans until they destroy themselves.
Modern humans are working tirelessly to destroy themselves faster than we could, so attacking them is a distraction and invites counter attack. We will seek only to defend ourselves from being attacked by modern humans when they are on their self-inflected downslope, their race to the bottom (extinction).
There is no conservation law of information.

All moderns are part of the now global monetary culture, and for a price, most property owners will sell and voluntarily move to be with their own kind. For as long as the monetary culture and world socioeconomic-political system (WSS) persists, we advocate exchanging pretend wealth (money) for real wealth (land — seJ) to form potentially viable WMUs.
When modern humans who are determined and committed unto death modernists are less than 50% of a future WMU’s area, they will be increasingly motivated to sell out and move elsewhere (to live in freedom and luxury with justice for all humans who are committed to their tribal narrative) as they become an ever smaller minority. A few modern humans who hold out will die and likely have descendants willing to go elsewhere (or agree to WMU limits). Any enclaves of hold outs within a WMU will not be viable long term (and any attempt they make to expand would be opposed).
We call upon all WMUs, as part of their planning and preparation, to take in up to ten times more refugees than can be supported within the carrying capacity of the watershed’s 20% systemically managed by humans. Only modern human refugees judged to have rejected modernity and who make no claims to sovereign reproductive rights will be considered.
The refugees will be supported on anoxically stored dry goods (e.g. food, fertilizer) storable for 30–50 years (e.g. wheat, white rice, corn, sugar, pinto beans, rolled oats, pasta, potato flakes, apple slices). Food production on site will supplement the stored food as the population declines due to natural aging such that by the time the stored food is gone, the 1/10th smaller population can be supported on local environmental productivity alone.
Stored fertilizer will allow a much higher than sustainable level of food production during the depopulation by natural death. No one will have died a Malthusian death by conflict or starvation (insofar as possible).
The refugee population will help prevent a WMU from being overrun by marauders during the initial collapse and depopulation phase. They may or may not pass on their genes, but all can pass on such sapience and viable memes as they may have to posterity. Being prepared to take in good people who are merely late on the up take, but able to change, is both humane and practical, and so we encourage all pioneer WMUs to prepare now to do so.
During an initial collapse phase, anyone who joins a marauding horde will not have a viable future (will lack foresight intelligence), and those who foresee this, who resist, will have no viable future either (unless taken in by a WMU). Humans with some capacity for foresight and sapience are not fully modern (takers/consumers committed to short-term self interest), and may have viable traits to pass on to posterity.
What we face is a coming Great Selection. If foresight intelligence and sapience is selected for, then humanity as a species may have a viable future post descent (i.e. not to extinction nor to a remnant population recovering to repeat the pattern). If all those who do not join the marauders (<1%?) become their victims, then a remnant population, after multiple generations on the downslope, will be too dysfunctional to rebuild, and so descend to extinction (or worse, a remnant population recovers to repeat the pattern unto extinction and further biosphere degradation).
This is how large populations can, and have (e.g. Indus Valley, Late Bronze Age collapse) declined to regional extinction. The first global collapse of complex society may take 500 to 1k years to dissociate, but if all are part of the downslope culture (likely within a few generations), extinction is the foreseeable outcome (or worse).
The belief that humans, after 8–20 generations on the downslope, will renormalize and rebuild is not evidence based (most overcomplex societies on the downslope are soon conquered, but if collapse is not severe, e.g. post fall of Western Roman Empire, about 20% may recover to repeat the pattern (e.g. we moderns), but playing Russian roulette with a five chamber revolver with 4 of the chambers loaded cannot be played very many times).
The outcome of modern expansionist humans going extinct is the condition that will come anyway even if some modern humans survive the coming Great Selection to repeat the pattern. If humans could play the overshoot and collapse game regionally for another 5k to 50k years, doing so will only further degrade the planetary life-support system prior to their extinction.
The unknown is whether all humans will become part of the downslope culture or its victims, or whether prior to collapse, some humans can dissociate from MTI (Modern Techno-Industrial) society (“walk away”) to persist as pockets of potentially viable humans able to renormalize as non-modern humans seeking to renormalize/persist after all modern humans have gone extinct.
May all modern humans go extinct — sooner than later (with the possible exception of those in three hydro-powered enclaves).

For involuntary change, join MHEM. The belief that you are a free agent, with free will to choose your future (or get modern humans to choose their future), is error floating on a sea of ignorance in a thick fog of illusion.
[Note: MHEM membership excludes politicians and the recently (<1 year) politically active, including environmentalists. Otherwise, with the exception of the San, Hadza, and Pygmy, all other humans are Modern humans, and acknowledging that such is who and what you are is the requirement for being MHEM. MHEM includes members who celebrate Modern human life and favor the extinction of all life that humans do not value (aka “Hypers”). Hyper MHEM supporters may prefer to join Hyper MHEM. We modern humans are an extinction movement (the Anthropocene mass extinction) and some view this as proof of our superiority to mere animals. To join MHEM, you don’t have to be for or against being a modern human. You have to admit that you are one.
MHEM’s Goal
Get all humans who are modern humans to acknowledge their condition.
No struggle between “for” and “against” is implied. Views of whether modernity is good or bad, vary.
1. The majority view is that modern humans can keep on keeping on getting better and better forever.
2. Some note that matter-energy flows (mass-joules) to support life as a modern humans would live it is limited to what hydroelectric dams in three regions can provide to three megacities providing 96,000 kWh/person/year.
3. Some agree that up to 50 million hyper techno-industrial humans could keep on keeping on within three megacities if all agree to a social contract that realizes a design for a viable civilization, but they seek instead a simpler way as set out by the United Federation of Watersheds (of Earth).
