Mike Shinoda, solo artist and Linkin Park’s front man, has released an NFT hybrid mixtape called “ZIGGURATS”. The artist described the project as a “song that’s not a song. But it’s also an EP that’s not an EP, an NFT that’s not an NFT and an art project that’s more than just a picture.”

In the official website, ziggurats are defined as tall, layered structures in ancient Mesopotamia where Gods were believed to reside. For that reason, these complex structures were built with great care and creativity, the same efforts that were put by Shinoda into this project, with some elements being years in the making.

The collection, released on December 2 on Tezos, features five thousand unique NFTs combining music, art and programming. Similar to collections like CryptoPunks, a combination of features generates a unique character and, alongside visuals, the ZIGGURATS have drums, melody and song tracks.

No two drops are the same, though some features are more rare than others. Designed to be an “easy first NFT”, they were initially priced 15 Tezos (XTZ) and sold out within minutes. They can now be traded on objkt.com, where some have already been sold on the secondary market for over 100 XTZ.
