BOLTSOFT launches MIB Mobile-Based MainNet — global 20th ranked supercomputing power

BOLTSOFT CEO Jaden Park stated that MIB(Mobile Integration Blockchain) has reached 26,000 concurrent connected mobile devices after the platform were launched in November last year, and the computing power generated by the platform is equal to a supercomputer that is ranked 20th on the earth, on 26 July.

55 countries over the world is into MIB. 26,000 concurrent mobile devices mean that the computing power is equal to 6,000 GTX-9500 GPUs, or a supercomputer that is ranked 20th within global, according to the report ‘Global Top 500 supercomputers’ in June.

MIB Application is installed in 200,000 mobile devices and it takes 5 years to mine the last block. The computing power that 26,000 mobile devices generate is approximately 11,000 TFlops/S (1TFlop/S can compute 1 trillion in one second), stated the company.

For the official recording and announcement of their computing power, BOLTSOFT planned a Linpack Benchmark (A measuring tool for the floating-point of a supercomputer) jointly with Seoul National University of Engineering, this year.
The company also stated that MIB distributed-computing network consumes only 300kW/h, while a single-framework supercomputer requires 2000kW/h ~ 10,000 kW/h for its electric consumption.
MIB Project Team plans to increase the number of their concurrent mobile devices to 100,000 devices until the next year, which is a distributed-computing power of a 6th ranked one.
