So far this year has been an amazing music year. Between the videos to albums to singles. This year has started off crazy! Today, I will make my Top 10 Hip Hop Music Videos of 2018 So Far! Here we go.

10. Minimum Wage- Taylor Bennett

The lyrics and video are so relatable to high school kids and just goes to show how much fast food jobs suck. Taylor was working some fast food place, and a bunch of customers got mad for no reason at all.

9. Walk It Talk It- Migos ft. Drake

Pretty obvious why this made my list. Everyone knows the Migos are new style rappers but this video gave everyone a 70’s vibe. Drake and the Migos just look hilarious in the 70’s outfit. Especially Takeoff’s blonde afro! Jamie Foxx’s interludes are hilarious as well.

8. Okra- Tyler, The Creator

In Tyler’s latest album ‘Flower Boy’ we saw a difference in him and found it he really likes sunshine and nature. This video gives us sunshine and nature vibes but the song and beat is nothing like the video which was cool. The whole video it showed to different sides of Tyler, at once.

7. Stranger Things- Joyner Lucas and Chris Brown

The video starts out with a basic bald dude reporting a party and then getting slapped on the head by a cop, which was just hilarious! Instantly we get some crazy dance moves from Chris Brown. Then, when Joyner’s part comes along, It shows him standing still rapping but his shadow is moving which is just some crazy edits. Towards the end, the cops came back, they mock Chris Brown and grill Joyner Lucas!

6. Bounce Out With That- YBN Nahmir

Very short song/video as it was under 2 minutes but the beat and there dances go perfectly together. PnB Rock was in the video but wasn’t featured on the song. It was directed by Cole Bennett so I knew it was gonna be clean as he has been working with many young artists, making amazing videos.

5. Dark Night Dummo- Trippie Redd

Before the video was even released the song, already gave me a creepy vibe. Then the video came out and just added to the scariness. Trippie Redd is shooting Zombies and burying people, It felt like the ghetto version of the walking dead.

4. God’s Plan- Drake

Pretty obvious how this one made this list. Drake was given $996,631.90 to record the video. But instead he donated it all to different things. From letting everyone in the store buy stuff that he paid for. Donating money to a school, A fire department and random families. Just a great, inspirational video.

3. Plug Walk- Rich The Kid

Rich starts the video off funny as hell, with some tiny little alien knocking on his door. Then goes into a real cool moon type of scenery with the alien and a few girls. The reason it is this high is basically because, the alien. The alien gets a little freaky with the girls and just looks hilarious the whole time. Not to mention the alien pissing on two guys that Rich just killed!

2. Freaky Friday- Lil Dicky ft. Chris Brown

No doubt, No question this one was going to be on my list. The music video and song based off an older movie where 2 people switched bodies. The music video was crazy good where it followed Lil Dicky in Chris Brown’s body all over the city. Not to mention the guest feature from Ed Sheeran, DJ Khaled and Kendall Jenner!

1. Frozen- Joyner Lucas

Joyner Lucas has already been on this list already and with his newest single, ‘Frozen’. The video starts off with a little girl dead and ends the verse with a good message that was about texting and driving. Next verse is about a pregnant lady who was in a drunk driving accident and ends it on a reckless driving accident. At the end the words that pop up on the screen are ‘DRIVE SAFE’.

At the end of the year I’ll drop an article on the same thing, and see how many of these videos are still my favorite by then!
