Sainsbury’s and Asda (Walmart) are merging. Two of the biggest supermarkets in the UK will become one humongous supermarket chain (Sainsda?) that with leverage suppliers and customers alike. If in doubt all you have to do is watch the song that the Mike Coupe Sainsbury’s CEO was singing on TV. He sang We’re in the Money from the musical 42nd Street. It inspired our latest cartoon.
