Dreams Repeat
Despite her apprehension, Maya goes out to the old man’s farmhouse for the séance.
With the sun setting, the man greets her at the door, his eyes shielded by sunglasses.
He leaves her alone as she sets up, but she cannot get settled. Something or someone is pulling her outside.
Discreetly, Maya pads out the door into the woods.
She doesn’t notice she’s being followed.
As night falls, the woods become instantly recognizable as the woods from her dream. Lightning flashes. Maya turns back toward the house, eager to get out of the trees.
A figure stands in her path.
Green eyes blazing, he raises his arm and shoves her backward into a hidden well.
“History must repeat itself so my daughter can rest.”
Even with her head wound she recognizes the old man who brought her here.
