In a context of rapid growth and change we are looking for a Chief Marketing Officer (m/f).

The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will be responsible for the brand, marketing, customer care, product management and communications across the group.

The CMO will report to the group Chief Operating Officer / Chief Executive Officer (depending on profile), and will be expected to coordinate activities with other members of the central management team and with the management teams running the businesses in each country.

The CMO will work in coordination with the COO and Country Management

Principal Areas of Responsibility:

Products Management / Product Development

  • Management of the existing suite of products and supervision of a Team of Product Managers in order for them to reach Marketing & Commercial targets
  • Listen to the clients in order to develop new products (see below) with a particular focus on digital products;
  • Capacity to develop Business Plans & Business Case for products;
  • Structuration and coaching of local product owner teams.

Customer Centricity, Client Satisfaction:

  • Put in place for each country the right customer care platform in order to insure maximum client satisfaction;
  • Make sure that client requests and customer needs are addressed through the efficient development of new products and services and that solutions are designed permanently to address customers needs.

Marketing, Communication & Advertising:

  • Allocation and management of the marketing budget according to the group’s strategies
  • Supervision and implementation of marketing campaign to reach commercial goals;
  • Development and Inspiration of Country Management / country marketing team on marketing campaigns and development of yearly marketing plans to reach commercial goals
  • Acceleration of digital marketing and digital client acquisition;
  • Supervise and insure that local Marketing Teams implement the group’s strategies

Supervision & Reporting:

  • Development of systems and metrics for group monitoring of marketing and product initiatives
  • Monitoring and reporting on performance of subsidiary marketing and product efforts

Professional Profile:

The CMO will have relevant prior experience in high growth companies in emerging markets. He/she will have experience of defining a company’s marketing strategy, leading marketing operations, product management and communications. The CMO will also have experience in reporting on performance to senior management, the board of directors and/or investors.

Specific Qualifications:

  • Either minimum 10 years’ experience in relevant markets and functions in the industry or minimum 5 years of experience in a Tier 1 consulting firm with a strong focus on marketing in relevant markets
  • The candidate’s work history will demonstrate the ability to manage teams of highly motivated people
  • Professional written and verbal fluency in English and French

Travel, Office and Administration:

The CMO will be based in Paris. The CMO is expected to fulfil all general administrative obligations associated with the position and maintain good communication with subsidiary management and head office colleagues. The CMO will travel extensively to the operating businesses.
