In this growth and digitalization context, we are looking for a :

Senior Credit & Collection Manager (H/F)

The successful candidate will report to the Group Chief Risk Officer and be the central expert for credit and collections for the group, defining credit appetite and overseeing collections strategies across the Holding and Subsidiaries levels. You will steer credit and recovery teams in subsidiaries in partnership with local General Management.

As Senior Manager for this function, you will be the focal point of contact in Microcred to cover all issues related to credit policies, approval process, early collection and recovery strategies, portfolio quality and management. In liaison with the Data Analytics team, you will draw on portfolio analytics and functional expertise to optimize portfolio performance. You will ensure Microcred portfolio quality and performance remain within or exceeds Group plan.

You will advise teams, both at Holding and Subsidiaries level, on the best credit and collections practices from both a tactical and strategical perspective.

You will ensure close cooperation with the Operations team at Holding and Subsidiaries level to deploy oversight, with Finance teams to contribute to planning process, and with IT to deploy digital solutions impacting credit and collections processes.

Responsibilities :

• Formalize group and subsidiaries’ credit appetite through consolidated and individual credit policies. Monitor adherence to credit policies. Track exceptions
• Review and decide on credit files beyond subsidiaries’ delegated authorities, including exceptions to credit policies
• Monitor and report decision turnaround time
• Assess subsidiaries’ collections structure and strategies. Consult and advise to optimize performance
• Monitor and track collection performance vs. business plan. Ensure positive contribution of credit and recovery deliverables to Group objectives
• Establish and lead regular portfolio reviews with subsidiaries. Implement standard review pack.
• Assist in producing / analyzing portfolio reviews for group needs
• Assist in deploying digital solutions and new product impacting credit and collections processes
• Lead community of credit and recovery personnel in subsidiaries and establish functional awareness through workplace and any other initiatives. Contribute to local staff assessment through regular individual performance reviews.

Profil :

Technical skills

• Prior experience in financial inclusion services
• Exposure to Africa and / or China unbanked sectors
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in credit and collections, in a global environment
• Prior lending authority
• Demonstrated familiarity with portfolio management and data analysis
• Written and spoken English and French
• MS Office (particularly Excel and Powerpoint) and Google suite
