The MicroMentor 2018 Impact Report
I’m so excited to announce the release of the 2018 MicroMentor Impact Report!
As a new intern, I was stoked to have the opportunity to work on this project. Aside from getting the experience of working with Mercy Corps and the fantastic MicroMentor team for the past few months, I had fun (and learned a lot!) preparing this report doing things like conducting interviews, writing stories about how mentoring has changed lives, whittling down a massive amount of statistical information into a single report, working closely with the Latin America team to create content based on their interviews, getting to understand more about the importance of monitoring and evaluation, collaborating with the designer, and much more. I have a huge appreciation for the amount of work this team does every day to provide these mentoring services to the world, as well as a better understanding of how free business mentoring plays into economic development.
The 2018 Impact Report is celebrating 10 years of MicroMentor’s online community. In it you will find stories from entrepreneurs and mentors attesting to the benefits of mentoring, information about the community, a spotlight on the work going on in LatAm, demographic information about who is using MicroMentor, and metrics that will showcase the importance of mentoring on small businesses, the economy, entrepreneurs, and mentors. I hope you will enjoy reading this report as much as I did creating it, and are as inspired as I was to become more involved in mentoring.
