In the last part of this series of articles, we completed adding the cards for feels like, maximum and minimum temperatures. Now we will create the current weather card and fill the information in it.

Creating Current Weather Information Card

We will start the card by adding the background shape to the report canvas. The following steps will show you how to do this.

  • To open the insert menu bar, click Insert in the toolbar at the top of the Power BI Desktop window.
  • Clicking on the down arrow underneath the Shapes icon to show the shapes that we can add to the report.

  • Click on the rounded rectangle icon to add a rounded rectangle to the canvas. This is the second icon from the left on the first row of shape icons.

Formatting the Card Background

  • Click the format button, at the far right-hand side of the Power BI Desktop window.
  • Expand the size and style option on the visual tab in the format pane.
