Azure Cognitive Services is a collection of cloud-based APIs that allow developers to add intelligent features to their applications. Azure Cognitive Service for Language is a subset of those APIs that enable you to process natural language input and understand the structure of the language, as well as analyze sentiment, extract key phrases and entities, and translate text between languages.

Also, this service offers a very friendly user interface, called Language Studio, where you can initialize language service features, both pre-built and customized, without the need of writing a line of code. Then, those services can be deployed on an endpoint and be consumed via REST APIs, and can be embedded in any application thanks to the available SDKs.

Below you can find the comprehensive list of features available within the Language service as of today.

In this first Part, we will focus on pre-built capabilities.

Before jumping into each pre-built feature, let’s set the prerequisites for your environment to try the service.
