The second, but not any less significant event was the fire of OVH SBG2 in Strasbourg, one of the most popular data centers in the world. This has affected many projects, including fairly large ones, and we sympathize with everyone who was storing their data there. No one could have predicted this tragedy, and it once again reminds of the need to make backups and have a plan B in case a whole data center gets destroyed.

Fortunately, the fire was extinguished before the M+ servers were affected, so there were practically no interruptions in the work of our service. But as the shared communications of the data center are still being repaired, users could observe a delay in processing files and a broken wiki. We have quickly resolved this issue and the wiki will soon be online again.

In addition, we have made several changes regarding M + Trends:

• Improved trend algorithms
  The analysis of all types of content in M+ Trends has become much more accurate due to the improved algorithm for calculation of the image submission date. Because of this the trending values you see in M+ may change slightly, so don’t be alarmed.
• Added trend indicator to the metadata editor
  Now the trendiness of the file can be estimated without leaving the metadata editor. The indicator is displayed directly above the file preview.
