The spring is coming!

The winter is almost over! Wherever you are it is always so nice to feel how the spring is approaching, especially in a bleak northern city. On the other hand, march may not be as pleasant as expected. M+ is a different story, though! Every Sunday we’re ready to cheer you up with good news about our updates. This week we’ve been focused on M+ interface for mobile devices as we understand the importance of being able to easily use the service at any place and at every moment. Okay, we’re gonna tell you a secret: right now we’re working on a full-featured mobile interface for M+ that will meet all standards and expectations our users have. Once there will be more to tell, we’ll share the news in our weekly report. However you may have already noticed few considerable changes that significantly enhance interacting with the service on mobile devices!

  • Optimizations for touchscreens This is something you’ve been waiting for! It’s now enough to simply tap on several images to select them together. Tapping on them again will deselect them. This is a simple and intuitive solution any mobile device user is used to. Besides that, we’ve fixed the annoying bug when common touchscreen gestures like page scrolling or resizing with your fingers were affecting the selection.
  • No more image selection lag We have also increased the speed the interface responds to taps. You may have noticed there’s no more delay before a file gets selected.
  • Copying metadata from the Archive Until this week you could only copy metadata from files kept in the “My Files” section. From now on you may also copy metadata from files removed into the Archive the same way.
  • Metadata saving speed up Metadata saving process became several times faster and more stable. You can modify and save metadata of all 200 files on a single page at once — it’ll complete in a matter of seconds and will not fail. Try it!
  • Better directory tree sorting Folders in your directory tree will now use case-insensitive sorting. It’ll make looking for a folder much easier.

That’s all for today. We sincerely hope you liked our updates. What do you expect from our new mobile interface? What new features would you like to see in M+? Feel free to share your opinion in the comments or on our Telegram channel.
