MicroStrategy, the leader in enterprise-grade analytics and business intelligence (BI) solutions, announced the establishment of MicroStrategy Government Services Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary focused on the U.S. federal, state, and local government markets.

We could not be more excited to expand the options for working with clients — creating more ways to support their mission and positively affect outcomes. In addition to FedRAMP Authorization and MicroStrategy Cloud for Government, establishing MicroStrategy Government Services is a key part of our investment in the public sector. Further, it demonstrates a long-term commitment to the success of government clients and partners.

As we continue to expand and leverage our library of Professional Services assets combined with deep industry expertise, we are better positioned than ever to support our clients. We look forward to continued growth by meeting our client and partner needs via new services accelerators and value-based solutions.

MicroStrategy Government Services provides more flexibility for government clients in contracting with MicroStrategy through additional contract vehicles and government-specific service offerings. Establishing MicroStrategy Government Services also ensures a more agile approach to addressing market-specific needs as MicroStrategy brings together public sector talent and best practices under one umbrella.

It’s my distinct honor to lead MicroStrategy Government Services as its inaugural President. I will serve alongside a dedicated and distinguished board of directors including industry experts Karen Schaefer and Tom Atkin (Chairman).

· Karen Schaefer held numerous leadership positions within the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) during her 26-year career. She also served as Director of Intelligence Programs at the National Security Council (NSC), where she managed the President’s covert action programs. She closed out her government career as the Associate Executive Assistant Director (AEAD) of the National Security Branch, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Director’s Senior CIA Representative.

· Tom Atkin has over 36 years of government service, retiring as a Rear Admiral with the U.S. Coast Guard and serving as the Acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense and Global Security. He brings proven results in local, regional, national, and global policy and operations supporting the White House National Security Staff, Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Navy, and Federal Emergency Management Agency.

MicroStrategy Government Services will operate as a subsidiary of MicroStrategy. To learn more, visit the MicroStrategy Public Sector Solution page.
