You’re forgiven for not knowing that today is World Octopus Day, although such a day is probably the best suited for the occasion with both the Oct in October and 8th both representing the wonderful eight-armed octopus.

According to the Scientific American octopuses have three beating hearts, blue blood and quite a remarkable intelligence.
