2018 NFL Preview
AFC Predictions

The NFL Regular Season is upon us, and yesterday I offered my predictions for the NFC. Today I’ll finish with my predictions for the AFC, including the Super Bowl match up.
AFC North:
1. Pittsburgh Steelers 13–3
2. Cleveland Browns 8–8
3. Baltimore Ravens 8–8
4. Cincinnati Bengals 5–11
About: The Steelers are the class of the division, though the fact Le’Veon Bell hasn’t yet reported is worrying. I think the Browns will be better and the Ravens will be meh. The Bengals don’t strike me as a good team.
AFC South:
1. Houston Texans 10–6
2. Jacksonville Jaguars 9–7
3. Indianapolis Colts 8–8
4. Tennessee Titans 7–9
About: This is a tough division to call. You could probably make a case for any of the teams, but I think the Texans are going to make it through to the top, and the Jags will still be a strong playoff contender.
AFC East:
1. New England Patriots 11–5
2. Miami Dolphins 8–8
3. Buffalo Bills 5–11
4. New York Jets 3–13
About: You could convince me to swap the bottom two in this division in terms of record, but no team has an easier path to the playoffs and a division title than the Patriots. I think they take a step back, but still win the division.
AFC West:
1. Los Angeles Chargers 12–4
2. Denver Broncos 9–7
3. Kansas City Chiefs 8–8
4. Oakland Raiders 4–12
About: The Raiders are a mess, I think the Chargers will be the class of the West and the Broncos and Chiefs will have their moments. But with Patrick Mahomes, I think the Chiefs take a little step back and the Broncos should be good enough to be in the playoff hunt with the defense this strong and Case Keenum in tow.
AFC Playoffs:
1. Pittsburgh Steelers
2. Los Angeles Chargers
3. New England Patriots
4. Houston Texans
5. Denver Broncos
6. Jacksonville Jaguars
Wild Card Round: Broncos Over Texans; Jaguars Over Patriots
Divisional Round: Chargers Over Broncos; Steelers Over Jaguars
AFC Championship: Steelers Over Chargers
Super Bowl: Steelers Over Saints
About: I think the Wild Card Round could be some fun, then the Chargers and Steelers meet in the AFC Title Game. It will be an early exit for the Patriots, as I think the Jaguars finally get over the hump. In the Super Bowl, I like the Steelers to get the title before their team comes apart thanks to roster changes.
