“Bernie Sanders starting to look like a front runner.”
That’s what the headlines read yesterday after initial results started to pour in that Bernie had handily won the New Hampshire Primary, but this is what many of the polls and people feeling the Bern have been saying for a while now. By the time that all the votes were counted Bernie had solidly defeated Hillary by a deafening 20 point margin, this following a tie in Iowa, Bernie’s campaign is on fire (pun completely intended). Now as the campaigning heads into Nevada and South Carolina people are starting to pay attention to Bernie and what his message. The New Hampshire win and the tie in Iowa is the culmination of months of grass roots work from thousands of volunteers from across the county making countless phones calls, braving subzero temperatures to knock doors, all to help get the word out about Bernie and how important it is to go out and show your support. This momentum will only help to continue moving the campaign forward through Nevada, South Carolina, onto Supper Tuesday, and eventually to the national convention. As support swells across the nation Bernie’s poll number continue to rise, and attendance at his rallies grows to standing room only crowds. People from all walks of life, in every demographic, and from both sides of the aisle are coming together to say that enough is enough and its time that our government works not for a select few, but for all of us.
