Marco Rubio looked like the Republican Nominee at the CNBC Debate

When voters tuned into the CNBC debate, they witnessed the strength of this year’s Republican primary field. While every candidate demonstrated their own proposals to reform government and curtail spending, none demonstrated the ability to clarify these proposals for the American people more than Marco Rubio. Rubio’s proposals to reform institutions of the federal government and the tax code combined with his ability to communicate a positive vision for the future made him stand out as the most formidable candidate on that stage.

Senator Rubio displayed an ability to connect with and understand the concerns of everyday Americans. As someone who had student debt until very recently, Rubio demonstrated his understanding of the growing student debt crisis. As one of the few candidates who did not inherit wealth, Rubio was one of the most relatable candidates on that stage, someone who has lived in the middle class, and will sincerely work to improve opportunities for all Americans.

Further, Rubio demonstrated an ability to understand the complexities of entitlement spending and debt. With the looming dangers of a debt crisis, the necessity of reducing the ratio and amount of American sovereign debt must be a priority for the next president. Increasing the solvency of our most essential social-welfare programs for the next generation must be a priority for our next president. With comprehensive solutions to our nation’s greatest problems, Senator Rubio demonstrated an ability to lead on policy.

By understanding the plights of everyday Americans, Senator Rubio demonstrated that he is the candidate that will best lead our nation forward. With transformative goals and an understanding of policy specifics, Rubio has the ability to ensure that our next president will truly be the leader our nation sorely needs right now.
