Cedar Rapids, Iowa — The stage is set, candidates are ready! And who is behind? The event attendees!

Well the loyal republicans did show up early and ready for the event, the one problem that was keeping them from entering the facility….secret service.

Due to Dr. Ben Carson electing to have government sponsored secret service, the facility had to be prescreened 2 hours before the event. In addition, each attendee had to be screened and searched before entering the facility (metal detectors the whole shebang).

That is all safe and good, however they only brought in two metal detector lines. The event is expecting 1400 people. You do the math on how long that takes.

I’ll give you a hint…doors opened at 1:00 pm, opening remarks began at 2:30 pm, Rand Paul finished his speech by 3:15 pm, and now at 3:30 pm Ted Cruz has taken the stage and the final folks waiting in line are now entering.

Sorry your $40 tickets are only getting you to see 4 out of 5 candidates.
