I know it may be hard to believe, but Iowa has quite the diverse culinary scene. The best way to see (and taste!) all that this great state has to offer is to head down to the Walnut Street Bridge on September 18–20 to partake in the World Food & Music Festival.

It has been a couple of years since I’ve made it to the fest, but I’m looking forward to sampling this year’s 53 international food vendors, representing cuisine from over 20 different countries.

Not sure which one to try? Have a taste of them all. You can sample specific dishes at each of the stops around the globe for just $1! Oh yeah, and did I mention that admission is FREE too. And let’s not forget about the live entertainment.

There is definitely something for everyone, so grab the kiddies (hello chocolate adventure) and make plans to get there early as lines can form at many of the fan favorites.
