Marilyn Flower and Debbie Walker from Middle-Pause are challenging women who can rightly refer to themselves as “mature” to answer 10 questions about themselves. It’s a creative contest,… an explanatory exploration,… an interesting investigation … into ourselves.

Or in my case, myself. I get to ask questions and answer them, too. About myself. Me.

Yaay!

Question One: Who is “me”?

Goodness, I dunno. The question is way too broad to be answered in any way that describes me.

Besides, I don’t even want to put the word “broad” in the same sentence as the word “me.” I’ll not ever again have anyone associating me with any broad, as was so common in the 60s when I was becoming — not a broad, dammit, but — a “girl.”

I was so stereotypical back then, just one of those women in their early 20s, already a mother, going to my base-pay job as a file clerk and coming home to cook his favorite dinner, wash dishes, vacuum, bathe the kid, read a bedtime story, and not be too exhausted to do whatever he wanted me to do in bed.
