Deep Thinkers & Big Dreamers
That’s who we are!
One thing stands out for me right away as I read these recent stories.
We here at Middle-Pause are deep thinkers as well as big dreamers.
That we are big dreamers is a given, built into the DNA of ’s original vision: We are the voices of women who encourage, inspire, and empower each other to live lives of meaning and purpose. We are women in the middle.
I don’t know about you, but one of the ways I live a life of meaning and purpose is through my writing and editing. It’s how I learn, grow, and touch lives. And I dare say that if it has helped others in any way, it has transformed me most of all.
But in addition to dreaming big, we think deep thoughts.
Thoughts, like Ashley’s, about the not-always-obvious aspects of marriage. Thoughts, like Cat’s, about what it means to fit in and belong through various stages of our lives. Thoughts about where the current leadership is taking our country and programs we rely on such as Social Security, like Katharine’s.
Or Ms O’s thoughts about what it’s like growing up with two dads and two moms, and how differently men father the kids in their lives. Poetic thoughts like Sandra’s about the bridges we’ve built and that we are.
