Writers, musicians, actors, college professors, and scientists share a common practice. As professionals, we are collecting experiences and documenting them for the world to recognize. The totality of the experiences over time is known as a body of work. The record-keeping can have different names such as a portfolio or curriculum vitae.

As a writer on Medium, we have a log of our articles. There are statistics about each piece that provide insight into our readers. Comments, highlights, and claps are feedback on the labor we put into writing on Medium.

I think most of us are very proud of what we do as writers. We try to make the articles we write meaningful and valuable for our readers. I read at least 4 articles a day on average on Medium. I find the habit of reading my fellow writers' work enjoyable and fulfilling.

Giving a positive shout-out to Medium publishers and readers.

It has been wonderful to find a support group within different publishers on Medium. I am grateful for all the work being done by the founders of publications and the readers who spend their time checking content and providing editing and helpful suggestions.
