Eyewitness Accounts of A Man Called Jesus

Something is happening! The word is a man called Jesus is going around healing people and performing miracles! I need to interview him for the Jewish News Now (JNN) paper. He’s angered the authorities, and they want to talk to him as well.

But I need to get to Jesus first. According to my sources, this is what I’ve found out so far.

A week of miracles.

About 15 miles from Jerusalem, news of a multitude coming through Jericho piques the interest of a blind man begging by the side of the road. Upon hearing that Jesus was in town, the blind man (Bartimaeus?) shouted, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” Jesus heard him, stopped, and healed the man (Luke 18:35–43). Then, crowds rapidly increased after this incident.

While in Jericho, Jesus calls out to a short man in a sycamore tree, Zacchaeus, a tax collector, and then invites Himself to dinner. The Pharisees are prejudiced against men in this occupation (v. 7) and look to accuse Jesus of wrongdoing by association with Zacchaeus.

During this time, Jesus is teaching life lessons in parables about widows, Pharisees, and such. He even offers a counseling session to a rich kid who rejects His advice. In addition, Jesus pulls the “Twelve”…
