F-F-F in the Laundry Pile and the Gym
Fitness, form, and frustration while skipping leg day and doing laundry manually instead
I burned calories today — not under the bright lights of my gym, but hunched over a plastic bucket, scrubbing socks with a vengeance.
My Apple Watch didn’t record my efforts, because I took it off to protect it. I was too lazy to turn on the water-resistance mode, and besides, once done, I fear the watch struggles to spit out water 💦 when it is wearing its own little protective bumper.
So technically, no rings were closed. But make no mistake — this was a workout.
Here are a few things I’ve learned about fitness, form, and frustration — in the gym, and in the laundry pile:
1. Calorie burn can get clothes clean or dirty.
At home, sweating while doing laundry gets clothes clean, while at the gym sweating adds to the laundry pile. Which one is progress, I wonder.
