The older I get, the more uncomfortable I am with being uncomfortable.

At the moment, my mom has just chosen to go on hospice. She’s not up for the rigors of being on rehab, and just wants to be as comfortable as she can for as long as she can.

My sister and I want that for her, too.

Which doesn’t make it any easier for us. But while going on this journey with my mom, I’m taking care of myself and doing things that comfort me or provide a sense of normalcy. Like writing this newsletter. Or reading a soothing, familiar book.

Interestingly, our current stories fit into this groove as well. Must be because, as we say in our family, brilliant minds think alike!

Maybe its the Zeitgeist. Or maybe just a coincidence.

In any event, support our sisters and enjoy these stories!
