Close your eyes and picture it.
Where were you? What did the place look like? Who was there with you? What were you doing at the time?
Who spoke ill of you? What exactly did they say? How did you respond?
Use as many sensual details as you can.
Was it day or night? What time of year? Hot or cold? Sunny or stormy? Indoors or out?
Any memorable smells? Something cooking on the stove? Or car exhaust on the road? Smoke from a distant fire?
Any memorable sounds? Music in the fore or background? Radio on? What program? If you don’t remember, make it up. What might it have been?
Was a baby crying? Birds singing or squawking? Water running? Toilet flushing?
Any memorable tastes? Were you at a restaurant? Eating Cheerios and pop tarts? Drinking coffee, Jamba Juice, or wine?
