I Am Afraid. Are You?
But I never let fear stop me!
That’s right! Even though fear has been standing behind me whispering that I can’t, I shouldn’t, and I’m not good enough; I turned around and looked fear straight in the eye.
Then I embraced fear. No, I attacked fear and threw her to the ground. I informed fear that she will not conquer me but that she will propel me into the fight. The battle — whatever it is.
However, I confess I still have paralyzing fear, at times. I just spoke with my friend, Marilyn Flower, and confessed a fear.
I am afraid I would not be able to interview the first guest on our new podcast, STOMP! (Stronger Together On Middle-Pause) due to launch in Nov. 2020. I feel I cannot speak well enough and I will go blank when asking questions.
Marilyn reminded me that I am a warrior and I can do this. And I will do it! Despite the fear.
Do you have any fears today? Do not be ashamed to tell somebody. Find someone you can trust and talk about it. You may find fear skedaddling down the highway.
If you don’t have anybody to talk to, we are here for you. You can email me at email@example.com. We are here to encourage, inspire, and empower you to take action and live lives of meaning and purpose.
Hey…you may even get an article or two about overcoming fear that we may publish.
Or you can do what Marilyn Flower wrote about in assuaging fear. Write it down. Make a bucket list about what you want to do, even those things you are afraid to do. (You have to read her article for the details!)
Which brings to our posts. Drum roll, please…
Remember, To engage is to empower!
Until next time…
Peace & Blessings!
