As women in the middle of our oh, so succulent lives!
Why succulent? you ask.
Why not? It means tender, juicy, and tasty!
Surely most of us can identify with at least one succulent quality! Especially during this month of love. As I hopefully make clear in my post, loving ourselves may be the most important love of all.
And we do live and love one day at a time. That famous AA motto’s explicit in some of this week’s stories. Vanessa encountered obstacle after obstacle and one prayer at a time, calling on her father’s love got her through all of them.
Lori takes us through her yoga session one breath and two or three affirmations at a time.
And Lani helps us create a firm Foundation for living into our dreams, one day at a time, one decision at a time, and one action at a time.
Making changes can feel overwhelming no matter how succulent. But getting back to the wisdom of recovery, focusing on them just for today feels a lot more manageable than for the rest of our lives.
Just for today can I do without booze or sugar? Just for today can I sit still and breathe? Just for today can I take one step towards my dream, however small? Just for today can I remember I don’t have…
