Some of us write, some of us edit, and we all read, right?

No matter which role fits us best, we get more out of the experience if we’re as fully engaged as we can be.

Does this sound like a marriage proposal?

That’s one meaning of this word. It also means to participate in or give attention to something. See how that covers both readers and writers?

That’s the literal definition. But engagement implies a more than casual commitment. It can mean that we’re deeply involved. We care. We’re invested, if not financially, with our time and talents. Which is what you all demonstrate when you read, comment, and clap. Or write and submit.

All of which help make Middle-Pause more than just a publication. We are a community, a fellowship, a sisterhood. And, as such, we are powerful!

And I don’t care who knows it!

Well actually, I want everybody to know it. And love it! Starting with you!

Attention Middle-Pause writers, new or seasoned: Do not miss Cindy Heath’s upcoming workshop on how to engage your readers. We all want to engage more readers as effectively as we can. Here’s your chance…
