Rise Up, Women in the Middle!
The world needs our strength, love, humor, and wisdom, now more than ever
Or as Catherine puts it:
The strength of women in their 50s isn’t just in what we say. It’s in how long we can keep going.
Dare I say, we are a force to be reckoned with? Always have been, always will be. Whether or not people or society or large get that yet.
You know that saying, If it’s meant to be, it’s up to me?
Well, here’s a new collective twist on it: It is up to us, so let’s make a fuss.
Because, as they say, power concedes nothing without a struggle. And no, I’m not trying to be partisanly political, but just to remind us of our collective power, which, like our precious bodies, we need to exercise from time to time.
I’m writing this, spurred on by this week’s stories, to remind us how much we matter. I hope each and every one of us gets this, especially because lots out there don’t. Not just Vegas show producers, though them, too. Right, Naomi?
Together we have a lot to say.
About the world. About our lives and loves. About addiction and its scary tenacity, like Ms O does so well. And about how we keep on keeping on, with or without the benefits of exercise…
