Middle-Pause Pump-Priming Prompt
Sing about It!
What music and/or songs do you love?
I love music.
I need it in my life. I have my Pandora station set on Chopin when I write. It’s playing right now.
But that’s far from the only music I listen to and/or enjoy. Far from it. It’s just my go-to background for writing. So much so that if I don’t put in on, I get jangly.
So that means it’s soothing as well.
Even though it’s a Chopin station, Pandora likes to slip in a little classical guitar every once in a while. Artists like Segovia and Los Romeros.
While I’m not a huge opera buff, I do adore the voice and music of Andrea Bocelli. He doesn’t just sing opera, but he has an amazing tenor voice that I fell in love with on a trip to Guanajuato, Mexico, of all places, where they played him everywhere I went.
He had a big pop hit with the song, Con Te Partiro, which in English is translated as, Time to Say Goodbye. He’s sung this as a duet with diva, Sarah Brightman. But he holds his own solo quite beautifully.
