As Mark Twain noted, “I never let my schooling interfere with my education.”

My formal education in India was quite a thing.

I was told my school would shape the person I would become — and hence my parents chose the best in town for their only child — and it certainly did, in more ways that I can account for.

“School is learning things you don’t want to know, surrounded by people you wish you didn’t know, while working toward a future you don’t know will ever come.” — Dave Kellett

For many, education is a complex labyrinth, influenced by cultural nuances, societal expectations, financial affordability, peer dynamics, and the support and values instilled at home.

“The whole purpose of education is to turn mirrors into windows.” — Sydney J. Harris

Having grown up in India and later immigrated to the United States, where I am now raising my own family, these writings serve as a journal of my memories.
