The strength of a praying woman does not come to an end, because whenever she feels weak, she knows where to lean.Gift Gugu Mona, Woman of Virtue: Power-Filled Quotes for a Powerful Woman

One of my closest church friends called me and said, let’s get together (on Zoom) and pray.

Duh! Here we are in a double pandemic, and while we pray a lot in our Sunday worship services and at our Board meetings and book studies, we had yet to get together to just pray.

And yet the need was glaring!

So, yes, we can get together and pray. So two weeks ago, four of us Prayer Chaplains gathered on Zoom.

The first thing we did once we got into the zone — that prayerful place in consciousness where we open ourselves to speak the Word and receive its blessings — was go around our four-square circle and share the people and issues we wanted to lift up for healing.

The list was long and heavy.

Lots of folks dealing with illness and death, change, or loss of income. Not to mention the pain of racial violence, killings, and the resulting feelings of anger, frustration, hopelessness.
