You may not realize it yet, but we are all apprentices training to become professional old people. If you’re like me, you’ll arrive decades before you’d planned.

That’s right, folks.

Someday, just like me, you’ll find yourself eligible for a master’s in the art of aging, which gives you the right to claim wisdom on nearly everything. Of course, the degree does not shield you from eye-rolls.

Yet, what does?

As an advanced member of this profession, I feel compelled to share what I’ve learned thus far.

First, let me clarify: if you spent a lot of money, time, and energy getting here, you didn’t have to. Guess what? If you do absolutely nothing tomorrow, you will be a day older.

Likewise —

If you slather buckets of age-defying oils over every crevice of your body, drink gallons of healthy green sludge, binge-listen to all the podcasts claiming wisdom on staying young —

Tomorrow, you will be a day older.

Trust me on this.

So, what can one do to age with grace?

Let’s start with regrets.
