Blatter’s gone… I can only hope this is the beginning of REAL change at FIFA and for football(/soccer) as a whole. End the corruption and questionable events around major tournament allocation/voting, heavily invest in grassroots efforts in the game on every continent in an ethnical way and beat back the influence money has on the sport.

It’s a huge task but it’s time to repair the heavily tarnished reputation Football has today. First effort for whomever is elected President to replace Blatter should be to null and void the 2018 and 2022 World Cup decisions (or at least 2022 if it’s too late for 2018), stop this ludicrous notion of a Winter World Cup, and ensure that the sport’s greatest tournament returns to its glory days as a showpiece for the right reasons.

Goodbye Sepp, and don’t let the door hit you on the way out. You won’t be missed.
