You may look at several things and wish you had them.

But you don’t get them for the simple reason that you’re either not serious about them, think they’re beyond your reach, or you’re not inclined to put in the requisite amount of effort.

However, things take on a different meaning when you set your eyes on something. Your chances of getting it go through the roof.

Here are six reasons why it happens.

1. You want it bad enough

Your goals are what you make them to be.

If you think they’re the central theme of your life, that they define you, and your happiness depends on them, you have every reason to pursue them with your heart and soul.

It is this drive – call it passion or obsession – that fuels your desire to go full throttle and pushes you to give everything you have to see to it that you accomplish them.

2. You mean what you say

Who doesn’t dream of being successful?

Most people I know do.

However, there’s an inherent difference between a dream and a goal. When you dream about something, it’s about desiring, longing, and yearning for it.

You’re not sure you’ll get it.

But when you set your eyes on something and say you want it, it’s not just mere words.

You mean it.

You make it your goal and visualize it, aiming to bring it to fruition. This gears you into action mode, prompting you to plan and prepare for its accomplishment.

3. You believe you can get it

Setting your eyes on your goal makes it real. You internalize the belief that you can achieve it, and everything starts getting crystal clear in your head.

The conviction deepens your resolve, and you become more surefooted.

You can go as far as your mind lets you. What you believe, you can achieve.

– Mary Kay Ash

When you start believing in yourself, your approach becomes purposeful, and your actions become intentional.

The motivation coupled with enthusiasm to turn your dreams into reality helps you work on your goals with greater focus and dedication. Distractions and shiny objects can no longer sway you.

4. You pursue it wholeheartedly

Focusing intently on your goals means you have made them your mission. You believe your goals are achievable, and there’s no doubt in your mind that you have it in you what it takes to succeed.

So, you go after your goals with full gusto. You keep your eyes on the target, put your heart into it, and trust the process. Everything you do is directed towards bringing your vision to life.

5. You’re ready for the trade-offs

Anything worthwhile comes at a price, and this is especially true for meaningful goals.

When you’re determined to achieve what you set your eyes on, you’re ready to put in the time and effort, make sacrifices, and do whatever it takes.

Your priorities guide your actions and decisions, and you consciously choose to do what needs to be done rather than what you like to do.

6. You’re unafraid of the challenges

When you’re deeply connected with your goals and are heavily invested in them, you take the difficulties and challenges in your stride.

The pursuit of success entails that you leave your comfort zone to explore newer possibilities and seize fresh opportunities.

You overcome your fear of running into problems or going through rough patches and embrace a problem-solving mindset. Each obstacle on your path is a chance to prove yourself and figure out the way forward.

Key Message: Anything you want is within your reach. You just have to want to strong enough and work for it hard enough.
