What is financial infidelity?

Financial infidelity is the term given to deception that occurs when one spouse withholds, lies about or conceals information about their own or the couple’s financial affairs.

Why You Should Be Concerned about Financial Infidelity

Financial infidelity is a very serious matter because a spouse who is dishonest with their marriage mate about their financial affairs may be dishonest about other important things as well.

Financial infidelity is often linked to marital or sexual infidelity, something I discovered while researching my first infidelity book.

Financial infidelity can also be an indication of other kinds of problems that negatively impact the marriage such as substance abuse (drugs or alcohol), a gambling problem, a credit problem, financial difficulties, a credit-card spending habit, a business loss, bad investments a trust issue, or communication problem in the marriage.
