In the morning, I read a compelling article about Self-Love on Medium. Though the article was impressive, a strange thought crossed my mind while I was skimming through it. There is always a fine line between human qualities and behaviors. Human emotions and behaviors are multifaceted and complex. Concepts like courage, pride, and self-love have the potential to veer into negative territory, such as stupidity, arrogance, and narcissism.

The situational contexts, personal experiences, emotions, and potential outcomes usually dictate the perception of these actions. An act may be courageous or prideful to some but appear differently to others based on their perspective.

Self-love is also a complicated concept, comforting in its essence on one hand but dangerous on the other. While it can uplift self-esteem, extravagant self-love might morph into self-centeredness or even narcissism, leading to a sense of superiority and belittling of others. In a nutshell, what feels good now may not feel the same in the future. If we do not stick to agree upon some unambiguous and authenticated standard, even the notions of right and wrong remain fluid.

Traditions are inherently dynamic, subject to the evolving passage of time and societal progress. Influential factors such as education, access to information, and advancements in science continually reshape the landscape of customs, norms and traditions, reflecting the dynamic nature of human existence.

To conclude, I feel that finding the delicate balance in emotions, behaviors, and thoughts is absolutely crucial. Adhering to fair and unbiased regulations and guidelines while respecting religions, concepts, norms, and traditions of others holds the key to fostering peace and coexistence.

Key Message: While values may fluctuate, it is essential to adhere to impartial guidelines. Only then can we allow our emotions to oscillate, ultimately finding a balanced path in life.
