I’d Rather Eat Two Oreos Everyday than a Whole Packet Once

The Concept of Consistency and Intensity Explained Through Oreos

I know many of us can easily eat half a packet of Oreos (one whole column) and would have no problem doing so as well….until that stomach ache starts and you wish you would’ve stopped about 4 or 5 cookies in. This is what my mom would always advise me when we brought Oreos. “Instead of eating so many at one time why not just have two a day. This way it will last longer and you won’t get such a bad stomach ache after” .

“Rookie moves”, I used to think.

That is, until I realized that this concept was bigger than just Oreos. You see, my mentality with the Oreos was, it doesn’t matter if I eat them all right now or if it takes me a week to eat the packet because after it’s finished we most likely won’t buy them for a while ( for my own good). So why not enjoy it all while I can!

But the thing was, my mom was right. After eating so many Oreos in one sitting, the value of each one eaten decreased and it was not a sustainable thing for me to do, and of course it was in no way good for me! Instead, if I’d eat two Oreos everyday, I would enjoy the Oreo and get to enjoy them for a lot longer.
