Dear Mr. Boxer,
You are the last person I could have ever possibly imagined for being banged up by her Majesty’s prison service. You are currently serving a 15-year sentence for your crimes—guilty as charged for seven counts of indecent assault against an innocent boy.
My heart aches. Let’s hope they don’t let you out early.
Nor did I ever imagine I would write a public letter about you. But I have no choice. Because today I am tasked with The Daily Write challenge to write about my favourite teacher — you.
Perhaps this will be a blessing in disguise.
But I will not disguise your identity. I am addressing you by your real name, Mr. Boxer, and naming the school where you taught both your victim and myself, albeit at different times—Eastbourne College.
Your crimes are on public record—the British Sex Offender’s Register, where you’ll stay for life. Your ‘crime story’ splashed across the Daily Mail.
