On Knowing and Sticking to Your Worth

Of all the fowls we have raised at home, this one stands out as the most beautiful.

At the moment, there are eight birds happily roaming the yard all day. Every day.

This white one is very picky. She has a dignified, birdly regal gait, always roaming the yard with her mate. You will often see both of them at the back of the brood.

We were almost at a loss as to what to do with it. She had no interest in mating with the roosters at home. It was only after a white cock (my little boy named him Transformer) repeatedly strayed into our compound that she started laying eggs.

Of all the spaces in the compound, she chose the hard table to lay her eggs (Eight eggs to date so far). So, we spread a bedsheet for it.

Talking of refinement, I've read and learned from my school days’ Biology classes that most animals exhibit some forms of elegance. Now, I'm seeing it played out. Live.

This bird has style.

Maybe God is teaching me a lesson.

People, that’s my imamachi (wonder of wonders) story. Now we are getting more paddings for her birdsheet. 🀣
