Psst, I’m going to let you in on a little secret.

Do you know about Private Notes on Medium?

No? Well listen up as I reveal all.

As a social platform, Medium offers lots of ways to communicate publicly with writers using comments, claps, and highlights.

But there’s another secret way to communicate privately with authors using the special Private Notes feature in the Desktop version of Medium.

Here’s an example of what they look like:

Using Private Notes You Can:

  1. Leave Reminders for Yourself. You can leave Private Notes in your own draft stories with annotations or reminders to refresh your memory when you make updates.
  2. Provide Feedback to Other Authors. You can send feedback to other authors using Private Notes when they send you a draft link to their story or in an already published story.
