The digital age is predominantly dappled with generative AI — a flamboyant technology handicraft. It is something that can even reimagine how governments should work. In a country like Bangladesh, with the help of generative AI, impeccable improvements could be ushered in for massive augmentation in government work efficiency, accuracy, and service provision in many sectors. Like their global counterparts, policymakers in the government of Bangladesh will be able to use generative AI for innovation that will increase the improved services offered to the citizens and enhance employees of the state.

Enhancing Public Services

  • Empowering Government Workers through Knowledge Sharing: Frontline government workers will need severe access to correct information. An internal knowledge center established by Cintas for its employees through Vertex AI Search is indeed a best practice. It will also enable the workers of various government offices to attain the policies, procedures, documentation, and data concerned sooner with the decisions, which are made seeking minimal disruption and maximum allegiance.
  • Virtual Assistance: Development of Virtual assistance for the Internal use system at the Bank of New York Mellon has also facilitated the workers of the Bangladeshi government access the information sooner to obtain maximum task efficiency. For example, these aids can save time and lessen the administrative overhead in providing instant answers to inquiries that support workflows.
  • Customer Service: One of the first ways generative AI will make a difference is improved public service delivery. Just as ADT uses AI to help its customers with their home security systems, so can the government of Bangladesh have AI-powered virtual assistants to help navigate its myriad government services from ‘A to Z’ — permit applications to licensing of all kinds — all in an instant digital format. These reduce the constraints of queues for essential services and ensure more ease for ordinary people and further satisfaction by citizens.

Example: A virtual assistant such as that offered by Best Buy — potentiated by generative AI — helps residents troubleshoot issues, set appointments, and shift access to such services online, thus offloading the in-person service centers.

Creative and Strategic Planning Improvement

  • Improved Strategic Planning: A Great transformation of the strategic planning of the programs in the government can be realized when AI is infused into the designs of the programs. For instance, the AI-based feature of offering personalized recommendations for traveling by IHG Hotels & Resorts can be customized for its usage in various urban planning and development projects. AI provides insights and directives on policy decisions and project implementations based on an analysis of data from a plethora of sources.
  • Creative Ideation and Production: Generative AI may support government efforts in cultural promotion and tourism. Incorporating AI From the example of the Golden State Warriors’ use of AI to enhance the experience for fans, the Ministry of Cultural Affairs could implement AI-based platforms to generate exciting content that makes its heritage and tourist destinations in promoting; this would be instrumental in boosting visiting populations and, in effect and thus, the revenues.

On Data Analysis and Compliance

  • Improving Government Cybersecurity: The grossly sensitive data the government deals with demands very high care. An example of how this could be done is McDonald’s ordeal in implementing AI relative to cybersecurity measures. Through such applications, it will be easy for the government of Bangladesh to develop the same AI tools for detecting and neutralizing cyber threats to keep the digital framework in place safe and integral.
  • Data Streamlining: Generative AI aids in the study of humongous data, which is among the significant functions through which any government operates. We now need the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Bangladesh, to do so likewise with the help of AI.as indicated by the example of Bayer’s radiology platform for data analysis in healthcare that can pave the way for better patient outcomes and make the lives of regulators reasonably simple as well. This also means better public health tracking of trends and quicker response in an emergency. Another model could be like that of Discover Financial Company, which embraces AI to help contact center reps do a better job synthesizing information.” It can enable the government to trigger actions in an acceptable time frame in a consistent manner through AI processes. It can be leveraged by both auditors and compliance officers simultaneously, whereby one can check for relevant regulations and policy shortcuts in seconds to ensure compliance and avoid human errors at the same time.

Example: The process that the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is using AI for cancer detection should inspire applications of artificial intelligence in the service security agencies that can provide real-time threat detection and response for national security.
