Greatness Lies Outside the Comfort Zone

So why would you set your goals in it?

Oh, the comfort zone. A beautiful place, but nothing ever grows there…

If you are a goal-oriented person like myself, you probably have short-term and long-term goals determining your every move. Every single decision you make is meticulously strategized to bring you one step closer to them. It’s a chase and as long as we have our goals, our oxygen, then we are gonna’ keep on fighting.

One thing I’ve learned about the nature of goals is that to truly ensure continual progression you need to set goals outside of your comfort zone.

Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.

The comfort zone is a deadly place. A place filled with monotony, stagnation, and deterioration. If you set goals in such a place you will never better yourself, never achieve greatness. Greatness is found outside the comfort zone, outside the boundaries of your realm. This is why very few people achieve greatness — it’s gutsy, dirty and you will fail. Don’t be afraid of failure. You can shoot for the moon, miss, and still land among the stars or you can stay on Earth. Your choice.
