Mexico is the most common location people immigrate from partially because of its shared border with the United States.

Daniela Castillo came to the United States from Mexico in her 20s to marry a United States citizen and became a citizen herself in 2001. Though she loves her career as a professor at Colorado State University she misses much of the culture and family values she left in Mexico.
