Week 8 — Mae Turns 6!
One week away from returning home, and another quiet week of school, work and hanging around Buenos Aires. We have two fun final week activities remaining, and this week was about hanging around the neighborhood. With Emma in school 8–5 every day, we have less weekday flexibility, which is nice. We take the subway to and from school. It’s fun to have the city school experience, and Emma and Mae are cool foreign students for a few weeks….pics are short this week. We’re sticking to Mae’s Birthday, and a few other highlights, mostly cute Will pics.
Mae Turns 6! — Mae had a wonderful birthday, with a family dinner, a friend dinner, and a visit to the nail salon. Nail salons are everywhere down here, and apparently a fraction of the cost at home. So the girls are getting spoiled…
Here are some highlights from the Nail Salon! They have been warned that regular salons are not normal at their age!
The Country Wide Power Outage = lazy Father’s day —We were part of a multi-country power outage on Sunday, and all of Argentina had no power. We got ours back after 8 hours, but that combined with rain kept us confined to the house, where we watched the world cup, Captain Marvel, and golf! It was our first day at home entire. It was great.
And here’s Will dressed in his Messi Jersey for the world cup games, and sitting on the porch counting taxis and buses (his new favorite past time!)
Love from us! (One week left down here!)
