Kangra Fort is one of the oldest forts in India dating back to around 4 century BC. It is precariously perched on a cliff in the outskirts of Kangra 20km from Dharamshala. Originally built by the royal Rajput family of Kangra state, it eventually passed hands to the Mughals, Sikhs, and later the British. Passing through a series of seven gates you’ll reach the main area of the fort home to a few temples and houses. From the top, soak in incredible views of the surrounding hills and Manjhi and Banganga Rivers.

Kasauli Tibetan Market is a charming bazaar dotted with tiny shops selling everything from seasonal fruits to woolen wear. This market is a great place to buy handwoven shawls, woolen wear and Tibetan handicrafts.
