A New Logo With a Hidden Meaning

You might not think twice about the story behind the colors you see on websites or in design tools. After all, they’re just colors, right? But sometimes, the most ordinary things carry the most extraordinary stories. This isn’t my usual writing format, but today, I want to share one of those stories with you — a tale about a little girl, her favorite color purple, and how she left an indelible mark on the internet.

The web development world was buzzing recently when CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) — the code that makes websites beautiful — finally got its own official logo in November 2024.
