To Those Using AI: Hold on to Your Wonder Anyway
Perfection is not the point. Possibility is.
Let them roll their eyes while you move forward to shape the future.
There is something quietly frustrating about sharing something you were excited to make with AI, only to watch it get picked apart within seconds. If you have ever played around with AI tools, whether generating images, writing copy, or building prototypes, then you know what it feels like.
It goes something like this…
You prompt it and create it. You smile. You share it and say, “Check this out!”
And before your sentence even lands, someone’s already squinting at it and picking apart its flaws:
“That finger looks weird.”
“That font’s off.”
“Yeah, but it’s not real design.”
No recognition of what you saw when you made it. No nod to the speed, the ease, the vision that went into even trying it. Just a peculiar dissection of what is wrong.
And if you’re not careful, it chips away at something you cannot afford to lose.
Your wonder.
